Hello, my name is Martijn.
I live in the Netherlands with my wife and joungest daugter. The oldest one has her own kid and husband.
I have been refining gold for over ten years now as a hobby. Learned it on the gold refining forum.
I started with E-waste and moved on to gold plated watches two years ago. I have a customer that I strip his plated scrap for a percentage of tge gold.
I made my 18K wedding ring and a 22K triple rolling ring for my wife so far.
Some gold saved up to start playing with, and whatever I mess up, I can refine again.
I also have a fair amount of silver to start making jewelry with.
But the stripping and refining part keeps me quite busy.
I have sluiced and panned for gold in belgium once for fun and actually found some micro flakes, but nothing really worth prospecting anywhere near me.
