Sierra Leone had a 12 year old Civil war which ended in 2002, some 23 years ago. Today the country is very SAFE, PEACEFUL and has now discovered that there is a lot of Gold here in addition to many diamonds, rutile, Bauxite, iron ore & Coltan (used as a lithium substitute in EV Business).

Fortunately I know all the key guys In the ministries in charge and we don't face any issues and anyone who needs help can reach out for assistance

Easy the key bosses in those agencies are good buddies, besides it's a small country once everyone knows you they know not to F**K with you "generally speaking".

Do I need a permit to process the gold

It depends on what you mean by "process Gold". If for example you are processing Ore to Product then that could be considered "mining under the Law". If you are handing any Gold especially commercial quantity then you are consider a "dealer or Exporter" meaning you need either a Dealer's or Exporter's or Mining Licence. If it's small quantities at home then no one will know or even care to check. If you need any permits feel free to reach out my company can assist.
