Just got a link to this forum from another one that I participate in. I've been collecting gold and silver since 1998 when I first went to Australia and bought some of their bullion coins at $235 US per ounce and have never looked back.

Back then? A bunch of kangaroos all the way up to and including a two ten ounce and one kilo gold coin. Since then, mostly Royal Australian and Canadian mint silver bullion stuff. More recently I got a 1 kilo silver proof Australian coin celebrating the 100th anniversary of Qantas which was 1 of 100. I like Australian stuff because of their depictions of their unique flora and fauna they use in their coinage.

Recently I haven't been buying much due to sharp increase in bullion and my fixed income does not allow for too much.
