Many celebrations, street dancing, and costume parties are happening in various parts of the USA and other countries.

Are you celebrating in any way? I plan to eat some Mardi Gras food on Saturday and see a local parade.

St patricks day is coming up march 17th.....lots of folks claim some irish ancestory.. The big one around me is held in Butte montana usa at a elevation of 5000 ft or 1524meters. Always still snow in the mountains.. Usually some snow on the ground or at least close by..
Not too much in the way of counter culture or true oddness, especially this year when the wackos got their funding taken away. Much drinking of spirits and some good natured kinetic interactions out back.....miners are a tough breed and that legacy lives on..

A celebration is a celebration. A good St. Patty's parade and party are also fun. I love the mountains in the background.

That carriage is spectacular, and the rest of the parade is outstanding. It looks as if there is a good turnout.
