Proffshuggarn from Sweden here

Hi Alan
Yes, mostly e-waste and some flea market stuff😉. Always looking for potential nice boards. I’ve been focused on silver the last year but I have a couple of kilos of burned and milled IC-ash that I need to take care of cause my wife is whining about the jars with “the dirty dust” on my shelf😅.

Hey Mate , What is "IC ash " ?
Hi
IC= Integrated Circuit chip/microchip
I dont know how your knowledge is in refining, but many of the different types of IC-chips has more or less gold bonding wires and sometimes even other precious metals.
To get the precious metals out of the IC-chips you have to burn them and crush them repeatedly to fine powder (ASH)… And that’s what I meant🙂

Hi Dennis,
There are not only IC`s in that lot.
Orange is power or RF transistor
Green is a Triac
Blue is rectifier bridge, which consist of 4 diodes
The above mentioned have little to no PM`s involved.

Pete, I only did a quick google image search on IC-chips, and that picture is not mine😅. It’s from some India site.. I just wanted to make a quick explanation for the member who asked me about “IC-ash”. And i apologies if my quick choice of picture disturbed you🙄.. I wrote that in a hurry and inserted the photo without minding that it was other components in the pile..
Time for more Coffee

It didn`t disturb me, relax....I just wrote for the info to be more accurate....no harm done...

Pete.

i am interested to see your yield. i feel that just smashing up everything in a ball mill or whatever without trying to limit the junk material will result in a lot of wasted chems and a lot of extra handling.
