Hi,
I used to go metal detecting years ago with my Father-in-Law and I really enjoyed it. I recently bought myself a Nokta Simplex BT Metal Detector, and I figure it will be a good way to get some exercise and maybe find lost treasure lol. I also have 20 acres up near Dunolly which I hope to explore, any hints on making this new hobby a little less painless would be appreciated.

I took some $1 and $2 coins and some jewelry into the back garden to get some practice discerning different signals and discovered that the previous tenant had lost or discarded thousands of washers, screws, nuts and bolts all over the back garden lol, I hope to find some time in the coming weeks to visit some of my local beaches now that school has gone back, and it will be a bit quieter down there.
